How does it work?

The art valuation tool uses information about both the art and the artist to create an estimate of market value. Each piece is assigned a starting amount and then adjusted higher or lower with each question.

For example, an artist who has sold art before might charge 50% more than one who hasn't. Selling a signed print will drop the estimate considerably lower than an original piece, etc.

If you're looking to sell your art online, at a show, or in a gallery, the Art Valuation Tool can help you determine a price range of how much to charge for your art

Ultimately, art is a highly subjective medium and it's up to the artist to find a balance between fair compensation and a realistic market price. Our goal with this tool is to give artists a ballpark figure of what to ask for based on quantifiable metrics.
